Using a hoverboard to mow the lawn is either the smartest or stupidest thing that a person could ever do. You could hit a rock, topple over the mower, and next thing you know, you're history. Maybe I think that way because I watched the horror movie Sinister (2012) too much as a kid, and I think that mowers are actually powerful enough to do all that.

As somebody who has never actually mowed a lawn myself, I think that this would be the best place for me to start. I wouldn't use a mechanical mower because it's cheaper or better for the environment or anything like that. It's because I think I deserve to suffer a little bit. I need to make mowing the lawn a little difficult for myself for all of those years I let my dad mow the lawn without so much as an offer to help him out. If I want short, beautiful grass, I should have to work for it a little bit. If anything, I should go a step further, and use a sickle to cut my grass like they did in olden times. That way I could understand the sweat and tears that goes into maintaining a great law. Too bad that I don't have a lawn, so I can't try this out!

I understand that HOAs exist to prevent people from leaving old couches in their lawns and letting weeds grow out of years, but 9/10 they just become a tyrannical operation that does more to annoy residents than to actually promote the beautification of the neighborhood.
Before my parents moved out of their HOA house, my dad went to Home Depot to get fresh mulch to put around the trees. Mere days before we moved, the HOA contacted him to inform him that he used the wrong color mulch for the house. I mean, seriously? He's such a nice guy that he complied, but if I was him, I would've painted the mulch purple as I said "good riddance" to that neighborhood.

Am I wrong to think that this actually doesn't look that bad? It's a very organized garden, it doesn't look like a bunch of weeds!
